11 - ROUTE KANAL PART FIVE

Little Ravenholm is being shelled!
Don't be tricked by the fast headcrabs waving at you: they look harmless,but there are far more than you think in that place. Little Ravenholm itself is quite dangerous because it looks big but there is very few space to run. Walk slowly and retreat quickly when something bad happens. There are missiles in the red electrified container to take the strider down. Snipe the far combines with Big Boss's scoped eagle or send in your allied troops to take them down and pull the level close to the exit.





12 - WATER HAZARD PART ONE

today the river will dye red!
If you have trouble navigating the canals,use the combines as street signals and run over them. Every time you bump onto one,aim at the next and so on. When you have to dismount from the airboat for either the red barn or pool area,use hit and run tactics together with the zoom feature: and remember,headcrabs can't swim.





13 - WATER HAZARD PART TWO

this dangerous land belongs to no human nor combine.
Aid your friends at the beginning by shooting some general bullets at the striders,so that they will be stunned for a second and stop attacking the rebels. Then,take a rebel jeep and kill the combines on the bridge. Once you enter the station,don't panic when you see the stalkers and unleash the mp5 in their face. Proximity headcrabs are the best in closed enviroments full of enemies. Near the end you will face a strider shooting at you during quite some chaos in the canal (explosions,rolling cars etc): all you have to do is to use the covered passage to the left,nobody will ever hit you there.





14 - WATER HAZARD PART THREE

turn the tide of the vortigaunts' battle!
The aliens can't deal against the strider alone,if you want them to survive,you will have to solve the physics puzzle fast and pick up the rpg rounds from it. Exploit the help of the rebels and your manhacks,or Snake's abilities,to survive the hardest battle in the warehouse.





15 - WATER HAZARD PART FOUR

run over incautious combines while the chopper carpet bombs your way!
Don't miss the item crates that are floating around,they contain batteries and ammo. The helicopter can be destroyed with the gun on your airboat,if you find its bombs too invasive for your tastes.





16 - WATER HAZARD PART FIVE

these are the scars of war!
The race against the flying machine continues,this time on a battlefield. Destroy the helicopter if you need to,refill completely in the warehouse defended by the citizens near the end and bring down the APC homing missiles with your airboat's gun before entering the final tunnel.


17 - WATER HAZARD PART SIX

today the rebellion will pay back the combines for what they did at the outpost!
Help your rebel friends that are being swarmed by the zombies at the beginning and pack yourself up for what is yet to come. Destroy every enemy units quickly with the airboat gun and lead the rebels to the victory.





18 - WATER HAZARD PART SEVEN

your are in the heat of the Battle of the Canals!
Help your friends against the striders as you did in Level 13. Destroy the 2 apcs shooting at you in the bay with the container puzzle from afar,before they start shooting at you.





19 - WATER HAZARD PART EIGHT

entering the Black Mesa Est survoir!
Keep moving and aim to the helicopter. If possible,try finding a spot where the gunships cannot hit you. As the helicopter get more and more damaged,the gunships will fall as well. Later,use explosives in the warehouse to wipe off the stalkers' resistance inside and long ranged weapons on the dam.
